Measuring Your Calf Circumference

Your calf circumference is the length from a point on your shin, around your leg and over the thickest part of your calf, and back to the same point on your shin.

Use a measuring tape to measure your calf circumference and make sure that:

• Your calf is bare
• The measuring tape crosses over the thickest point of your calf
• The measuring tape wraps around your leg in a straight line at all points

Measuring Your Ankle Circumference

Your calf circumference is the length around your ankle, including the joints on both sides of the ankle. 

Use a measuring tape to measure your ankle circumference and make sure that:

• Your ankle is bare
• The measuring tape crosses over the joints on both sides of your ankle
• The measuring tape wraps around your ankle in a straight line at all points
